Flatbush is the large central Brooklyn neighborhood south and east of Prospect Park, stretching along Flatbush and Nostrand Avenues toward Brooklyn College and bordering Prospect Lefferts Gardens and East Flatbush. Kings County Hospital and SUNY Downstate anchor its eastern side on Clarkson Avenue, and the Parade Ground and Prospect Park lie to the north-west. The 2 and 5 run under Nostrand Avenue, and the B and Q stop at Parkside Avenue and Church Avenue.
