4. Building Manager Accounts

Property managers may be permitted to create or claim a listing to update their building’s profile. Building manager accounts are subject to these Terms and Conditions in the same way as any other use of the site.

Because these Terms and Conditions do not guarantee listing accuracy, here is how to check the things that matter most, using primary sources rather than this site:

  • Verify a real estate license. New York licenses are searchable in the state’s own records. Use the Department of State’s licensee search to confirm that anyone you work with holds a current license.
  • Read your rights as a tenant. The New York Attorney General’s Residential Tenants’ Rights Guide sets out rules on security deposits, repairs, notice and lease terms.
