Questions about a New York apartment building?

Have a question about a building in the directory, a fact that looks wrong, or a building that belongs here and is missing? Write to us with the building name, street address and what needs changing. We read every message, and corrections are checked against the building’s own published sources before a listing is changed. The same team publishes this directory and ChicagoApartmentBuildings.com, so one mailbox covers both cities.

The most useful things to send:

  • A correction — a wrong unit count, year built, floor count or managing company. Please include the building’s street address, which is the identifier used here.
  • A rename — if a building now trades under a different name, say which name is current and roughly when it changed.
  • A missing building — any large rental apartment building in New York City that is not listed.
  • A building that should come off — converted to condominiums, demolished, or no longer operating as rental housing.

NewYorkApartmentBuildings.com is a free reference directory of building facts covering 247 large rental apartment buildings in New York City — 171 in Manhattan, 44 in Brooklyn, 27 in Queens and 5 in the Bronx — organized by borough and then into 48 neighborhoods. It is not a leasing office or a brokerage and does not offer an apartment-locating service. It does not hold availability, pricing, floor plans or applications, and it cannot arrange a tour — for any of that, contact the building’s leasing office directly. If you are thinking about using a locator or broker, read what an apartment locator does and how to check one is licensed in New York.

Owners and managers: corrections are welcome and free. There is no paid placement and no featured listing on this site; the only advertising is one clearly labeled sponsor on the homepage — see our letter to building teams.
