Avalon Fort Greene is a rental apartment tower at 343 Gold Street in Brooklyn, owned and managed by AvalonBay Communities. It stands at the corner of Gold Street and Myrtle Avenue, on the boundary between Downtown Brooklyn and Fort Greene, near the Brooklyn Navy Yard.

Fort Greene Park is a few blocks east, the Brooklyn Academy of Music and the BAM Cultural District are to the south, and the Myrtle Avenue and DeKalb Avenue commercial strips run past the building. The York Street F station and the High Street A and C station are to the north in Dumbo, the Jay Street-MetroTech complex is a short walk west, and Brooklyn Bridge Park is within walking distance.

Completed in 2010, the 42-story tower holds 631 apartments and was one of the taller buildings in Brooklyn when it opened. It was among the first high-rise rentals to follow the 2004 Downtown Brooklyn rezoning, and AvalonBay later added AVA DoBro a few blocks south.

The building’s position at the edge of Downtown Brooklyn makes it a bridge between neighborhoods: the towers and offices of MetroTech to the west, and the brownstones and parks of Fort Greene to the east.
