Aalto57

Aalto57 is a rental apartment building at 1065 Second Avenue in Midtown East, Manhattan, managed by Rose Associates. It stands at East 57th Street in the Sutton area of Midtown East, and is named for Alvar Aalto, the Finnish architect and designer.

Sutton Place and its riverfront gardens are east toward the water, and the Queensboro Bridge and the Roosevelt Island Tramway cross the East River from 59th Street and Second Avenue. Bloomingdale’s is at 59th and Lexington, and Central Park’s southeast corner and the Plaza are a walk west along 57th Street. The N, R and W stop at Lexington Avenue-59th Street, the 4, 5 and 6 at 59th Street, the F at 57th Street, and the Q at 63rd Street.
