8 Spruce Street is a rental apartment tower at 8 Spruce Street in Lower Manhattan, owned by Brookfield Properties. Designed by Frank Gehry and often called New York by Gehry, it is clad in rippling stainless steel that folds in vertical bays down its height, and on completion it was among the tallest residential buildings in the Western Hemisphere.

The tower stands beside City Hall Park and the Brooklyn Bridge approach, with the Woolworth Building, Pace University and the Civic Center courthouses immediately around it. The Fulton Center, the Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall 4, 5 and 6 station and the A and C at Chambers Street are all within a couple of blocks.
