25 Washington

25 Washington is a rental apartment building at 25 Washington Street in DUMBO, Brooklyn, developed and managed by Two Trees Management. It is a converted industrial loft building, also known as Gair 2, in the DUMBO Historic District between the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges.

The Washington Street view of the Manhattan Bridge framed by warehouse walls is a block away, and Brooklyn Bridge Park, Jane’s Carousel and the East River waterfront are a short walk north. The F stops at York Street, the A and C at High Street, and NYC Ferry stops at DUMBO.

Completed in 2011, the eight-story building holds 106 apartments and is the one large rental in DUMBO in this index. Two Trees Management, which began buying and converting DUMBO’s warehouses in the 1980s and largely created the neighborhood as it is today, built and manages it, and Brooklyn Bridge Park is steps away.
