420 Carroll

420 Carroll is a rental apartment building at 420 Carroll Street in Gowanus, Brooklyn, developed and managed by Domain Companies. It is one of the new mid-rise rental buildings on the Gowanus Canal waterfront, part of the transformation of the former industrial canal district following its rezoning.

The building stands close to the Carroll Street Bridge, one of the oldest retractile bridges in the United States, with Carroll Gardens to the west and Park Slope to the east. 544 Carroll, by the same developer, is a few blocks east. The F and G stop at Carroll Street and at Smith-9th Streets, and the R stops at Union Street on Fourth Avenue, with the Barclays Center transit hub a short ride north.
