Avalon Chrystie Place

Avalon Chrystie Place is a rental apartment building at 229 Chrystie Street in the Lower East Side, Manhattan, owned and managed by AvalonBay Communities. It stands at the corner of East Houston Street on the Bowery’s eastern flank, facing the long strip of Sara D. Roosevelt Park that runs south from Houston to Canal Street.

The New Museum sits a few blocks south on the Bowery, and Nolita, the East Village and Chinatown all begin within a short walk. Tompkins Square Park lies east across Avenue A. The F stops at Second Avenue, the B and D at Grand Street, the J and Z at Bowery, and the 6 at Bleecker Street with a transfer to the B, D, F and M at Broadway-Lafayette.
