Renting on Halletts Point
Halletts Point is the small peninsula at the western edge of Astoria, reaching into the East River opposite Roosevelt Island and the Upper East Side. For decades it was dominated by the Astoria Houses public housing development and industrial lots, and it has no subway station within easy walking distance.
The Durst Organization’s plan for the peninsula calls for seven buildings, a waterfront park and a supermarket, and 10 Halletts Point, completed in 2019 with 404 apartments, was the first to open. Residents rely on the NYC Ferry Astoria landing at the foot of the site and on buses to the N and W trains, and they get some of the best Manhattan skyline views in Queens, with Astoria Park and the RFK Bridge a walk north.
