1131 Ogden Avenue

1131 Ogden Avenue is a rental apartment building at 1131 Ogden Avenue in Highbridge, in the west Bronx, owned by Stellar Management. It stands on the ridge above the Harlem River, on the steep blocks where Ogden Avenue runs north to south between the river valley and the higher ground around the Grand Concourse.

Highbridge Park and the High Bridge, the restored 1848 aqueduct footbridge linking the Bronx to Washington Heights, are a short walk north, and Yankee Stadium and the Bronx Terminal Market sit just south at 161st Street. The 4 train at 167th Street and the B and D at 167th Street serve the neighborhood, with the Major Deegan Expressway running along the river below.

The building holds 400 apartments over 26 floors and overlooks the Harlem River near the High Bridge, the city’s oldest standing bridge, which reopened to pedestrians in 2015 and now connects Highbridge to Washington Heights on foot. Stellar Management, a New York landlord, also manages Embassy House in Midtown East. Rents in the area are generally well below those across the river in Manhattan.
