The Copper is a rental apartment development at 626 First Avenue in Murray Hill, Manhattan, developed by JDS Development Group. Known as the American Copper Buildings, it consists of two leaning towers of different heights clad in copper, joined about a third of the way up by a three-story skybridge holding a pool and residents’ spaces, the first skybridge built in New York in decades.

The site fronts the East River between East 35th and East 36th Streets, with a private waterfront esplanade and views up and down the river. NYU Langone Health and the United Nations are a short walk north and south along First Avenue, the East 34th Street ferry landing is nearby, and the 6 train at 33rd Street is the closest subway.
